Harford Road at 25th Street to close Sunday morning for water main repairs

Drivers in Northeast Baltimore should plan for major traffic changes on Sunday as crews repair a water main at a busy intersection, according to the Baltimore City Department of Transportation.

The intersection of Harford Road at 25th Street will close starting at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, so crews working on behalf of the Department of Public Works can perform water main repairs.

Detours will be in effect, and the city said the following closures are planned:

  • Northbound Harford Road will be closed between Bonaparte/Broadway and St. Lo Drive.
  • South Harford Road will be closed.
  • 25th Street will be closed between St. Lo Drive and The Alameda.
  • Northbound 25th Street will be closed between Asquith and St. Lo Drive.

The closure is expected to remain in effect throughout the day while repairs are made.

Motorists traveling in the area are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
