BALTIMORE (WBFF) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has apprehended a Guatemalan national and convicted child sex offender, shortly after his unexpected release from a Maryland prison.
According to officials, Anthony Rodriguez-Gregorio, who was serving a 25-year sentence for the sexual assault of a child he was babysitting, was released just over a year into his term.
ICE Baltimore swiftly detained him following his release.
Officials say Rodriguez-Gregorio, who has a final removal order, was convicted in 2024 for the crime.
