Incumbent Bob Cassilly wins Republican nomination for Harford County Executive

Incumbent Bob Cassilly has won the Republican nomination for Harford County executive and will face off with Democrat Barbara Kreamer or Matthew Brown in November.

Cassilly beat Republican Patrick Vincenti to win the nomination in Tuesday’s primary election.

Cassilly has served as county executive since December 2022.

On June 10, 2026, Harford County became the first county in Maryland to put a ban on data centers with Cassilly signing it into law after a unanimous vote by County Council members.

From 2014-2022, he served in the Maryland Senate where he chaired the Harford County Senate Delegation and was the ranking Republican on the Judicial Proceedings Committee.

He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 12 years, both active and reserve duty.

According to Cassilly’s campaign website, he was born in Havre de grace and raised in Bel Air and Belcamp.
