
MARYLAND (WBFF) — The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) announced lane closures and traffic pattern changes for the Bay Bridge (US 50/301) scheduled for the week of March 15 to 21, 2026.
All work scheduled to be performed is weather permitting, and lane closures, as well as closure times, are subject to change depending on traffic volumes and other work variables.
The westbound span is scheduled to be closed on Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for preservation work, and a two-way traffic pattern will operate on the eastbound span during this time.
The eastbound span will be closed during the following days and times for preservation/maintenance work:
Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span during the closure of the eastbound span.

Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., one lane on the westbound span is scheduled to be closed for preservation/maintenance work.
The MDTA notes that headlights must be on at all times while driving on the bridge.
