Glen Burnie, Md. (WBFF) — A routine traffic stop in Glen Burnie on Thursday afternoon led to the arrest of two Laurel men and the recovery of a loaded handgun and a large quantity of suspected drugs, according to Anne Arundel County police.
On March 5, around 1:30 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle near Hospital Drive and Elvaton Road after noticing a brake light was out.
During the stop, the officer discovered the driver did not have a valid driver’s license.
Police also observed a large backpack positioned between the driver’s legs, prompting additional officers to respond to the scene.
Authorities asked both occupants to exit the vehicle.
