MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Police are actively searching for a man accused of shooting another man to death following an argument at a sports bar in Montgomery County, Maryland, earlier this week.
Detectives secured an arrest warrant Tuesday, Sept. 15, charging Shayan Solimani Damabi, 21, of Gaithersburg, with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime.
Police said he may be driving a red, four-door 2018 Acura TLX with Maryland license plate 3GD6732. He is described as about 6’2″ tall and weighs about 205 pounds.

The charges stem from the Sept. 13 shooting that killed Nicholas Njuki, 33, following a confrontation at Quincy’s in Rockville, according to police.

Investigators said Njuki and Solimani Damabi had been involved in a confrontation inside the restaurant. Njuki then left with another person in a vehicle.
Near Fortune Terrace and Northside Park Boulevard, they ran into Solimani Damabi in a separate vehicle, police said.
Njuki got out and approached Solimani Damabi’s car, where Shayan Solimani Damabi allegedly shot him.
Police said Solimani Damabi then fired at Njuki’s companion, who drove away. Solimani Damabi also left the area.

Rockville City Police and Montgomery County officers responded around 2:02 a.m. to the parking lot of Quincy’s in the 1000 block of Seven Locks Road. They found Njuki with an apparent gunshot wound.
Despite efforts to save his life, the victim died at the scene.
Loved ones created a GoFundMe to help cover Njuki’s funeral costs.
Solimani Damabi’s whereabouts remain unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
