PIKESVILLE (WBFF) — A 20-year-old Maryland man was convicted Wednesday of an armed carjacking of a woman and her mother that left the women severely injured in Pikesville, according to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney.
Darius H. Wolfe, from Brooklyn, Maryland, was charged with the armed carjacking, along with two counts of First Degree Assault and the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, officials reported.
On August 21, 2024, a 66-year-old woman was retrieving groceries from her car on Brattle Road when three masked men approached her with a handgun.

The masked men proceeded to go into her car as the woman tried to grab her belongings and prevent the carjacking, resulting in the woman being assaulted.
The woman’s 87-year-old mother tried to help her daughter, but one of the masked men got into the driver’s seat and accelerated the vehicle.
Officials reported that the 66-year-old woman was dragged by a car, and her mother was run over during this incident.
The 66-year-old woman suffered a brain bleed, fractured toe, and abrasions, while her mother was taken to Shock Trauma and suffered a fractured pelvis, collapsed lung, fractured ribs, a broken ankle, and fractures on both her legs, authorities said.

Baltimore County Police were able to locate the carjacked vehicle from the vehicle tracker and license plate readers, along with surveillance video, which followed the progression of the car.
This led detectives to identify Darius Wolfe as one of the suspects and ultimately to take him into custody.
Reginald Belton, 19, was also identified as a suspect in this carjacking, and he previously pled guilty to Armed Carjacking, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence, and First Degree Assault, officials said.
“The Baltimore County Police were phenomenal in their response and investigation of these horrific crimes,” State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger said in a press release.
Belton’s sentencing is scheduled for April 20, 2026, and Wolfe’s sentencing date has not been finalized at this time.
