Man dies in early morning single-car crash in Montgomery County

A tragic accident early Sunday morning claimed the life of a man in Montgomery County.

At approximately 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police’s 5th District, along with Fire Rescue personnel, responded to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Ridge Road and Kings Valley Road.

Upon arrival, responders discovered a gray 2013 Honda Civic coupe overturned in an embankment. The driver, an adult male and the sole occupant of the vehicle, had been ejected and was found in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the Honda was traveling southbound when the driver lost control. Evidence collected at the scene indicates that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
