ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF) — A man was injured during an attempted robbery at the Annapolis Mall on Friday evening, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Officers responded to the mall near the food court entrance around 6:50 p.m. on Feb. 20 for reports of a physical altercation.
Police said the adult male victim was standing inside the vestibule of the food court entrance, talking on his cell phone, when a suspect approached him and grabbed the phone from his hand.
A struggle followed, and the victim was able to regain possession of his phone, authorities said.
Authorities said that the suspect then struck the victim before running out of the mall.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s, wearing a green puffy jacket, black pants and a backpack.
Southern District detectives are continuing to investigate.
