Man struck, killed by his own vehicle in Pikesville, Baltimore County police investigate

A man was struck and killed by his own vehicle in Pikesville Saturday night, according to Baltimore County police.

Authorities said around 8 p.m. on Nov. 29, officers responded to the intersection of Penny Lane and Smith Avenue in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

There, officers and members of the fire department found a man unconscious and trapped underneath the vehicle.

The victim was removed from underneath the vehicle and officials started life-saving efforts before he was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation found the victim is the owner of the vehicle, and the incident appears to be an accidental death.

At this time, the victim’s identity has not been revealed.
