WASHINGTON (7News) — Less than a day after his conviction on an assault charge, the man who recorded himself touching a woman’s hair on a Metro train was sentenced.
Bryan Betancur, 28, was sentenced to 180 days in jail. He has been locked up since April. With credit for time already served, Betancur will spend another 52 days in jail.

Court documents show Betancur harassed and stalked a woman at a pop-up event in Northwest D.C. and later went to a Supreme Court protest to search for the same woman prior to his April arrest.
Betancur still faces similar charges in Arlington County, Virginia.
Betancur also previously pleaded guilty to his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, but was part of the sweeping Presidential pardon issued by Donald Trump.
