ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY (WBFF) — Drivers in northern Anne Arundel County will face weeknight closures along a section of Camp Meade Road for asphalt patching.
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will close MD 170 overnight between Aviation Boulevard and just south of Flight View Drive on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers will follow a signed detour using MD 162 and Andover Road.
Crews from Allan Myers MD of Fallston will handle the work. Arrow boards, barrels and temporary traffic signs will direct traffic along the detour, while portable message boards will display closure dates.
The State Highway Administration is urging drivers and pedestrians to stay alert and avoid distractions in the work zone. Officials ask motorists to follow all posted speed limits.
All work depends on weather conditions. Travelers can contact the SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or 800-331-5603 for more information and visit roads.maryland.gov for project updates.
