(WBFF) — The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is set to expand its local bus service as road conditions improve following recent adverse weather.
Starting Tuesday, Jan. 27, all CityLink routes, LocalLink bus routes, and Express Bus #163, which serves Tradepoint Atlantic, will resume operations. However, all other Express Bus routes will remain suspended.

Despite the expansion, some routes may still operate with detours due to lingering snow and ice, limited roadway width, or safety and accessibility concerns. The MTA will continue to monitor conditions and adjust services accordingly. Employee availability may also affect service levels.
With a forecast of prolonged cold weather for the rest of the week, the MTA advised riders to dress warmly and allow extra travel time, as buses may travel slower on snow-covered roads. Riders can stay informed about the latest service updates by visiting the MTA’s service alerts page at mta.maryland.gov/service-alerts or following their social media accounts @mtamaryland.
