Just hours before NASA’s scheduled Artemis II mission around the moon was set to launch, 7News spoke with NASA’s Langley’s Technical Engineer for Space Nuclear Propulsion, Julia Cline.
Cline spoke about the criteria that has to be in place before the launch and some of the important factors scientist are on the lookout for.
She also spoke on what scientists hope to learn from the mission.
Cline went on to explain how the mission is a crucial step in having humans on the moon again and eventually Mars.
“It’s another step towards having humans back on the surface of the moon and then eventually on Mars,” Cline said.
