BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Maryland State Highway Administration announced overnight closures and detours for several ramps at the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) / I-70 interchange in Baltimore County.
These closures and detours are to allow crews to conduct work in preparation for the interchange bridge painting and cleaning project this spring.
Crews will work from Sunday, Feb. 22, through Feb 25 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and the work is expected to be completed by Friday, Feb 27, weather permitting.
From Sunday through Thursday, crews will install temporary concrete barriers along bridges to create work zones and temporary platforms for bridge work.
Drivers should expect ramp closures from Feb 22 through Feb 25 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and single- and double-lane closures during the night on Thursday, Feb 26.

Detour routes will be posted throughout the area each night.
Temporary traffic signs and cones will guide drivers through the work zones and posted detour routes.
Officials noted that the schedule could change depending on the weather.

This work is part of a State Highway Administration project to clean and paint bridges at the I-695/I-70 interchange.
