BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Baltimore man was sentenced to over five years in federal prison after admitting to intentionally setting fire to multiple North Baltimore homes last year, prosecutors said.
Justin Michael Reeves, 29, pleaded guilty to malicious destruction of property by fire.

According to Reeves’ plea agreement, he set fire to a North Baltimore home on May 10, 2025.
After setting the fire, prosecutors said Reeves returned to the property several times to spread burning materials across the structure and garage door.
Surveillance video from a neighboring property captured Reeves setting the fire, and cellphone location data placed him in the area at the time of the incident, court records said.
Reeves set another fire at the same home during the early morning hours of May 14, prosecutors said. That fire spread to the neighboring property before firefighters extinguished it.
Surveillance video from behind the home showed Reeves walking back and forth near the property before and after the fire, according to prosecutors. Cellphone data also placed him in the area.

Reeves returned to the property on May 16 and took pictures of the fire-damaged home, court records said.
On May 25, Reeves set fire to another North Baltimore home while someone was asleep in a second-floor bedroom, prosecutors said.
Surveillance footage showed Reeves near the house wearing the same clothing and carrying the same backpack seen during the May 14 fire.
Baltimore police arrested Reeves on May 28 and seized his cellphone.
Prosecutors said investigators found internet searches about the fires, property records for the area where they occurred and searches related to other fires reported in the same neighborhood in 2024.
U.S. District Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher sentenced Reeves to 63 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
