ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WBFF) — Motorists traveling across the Bay Bridge (US 50/301) should prepare for a series of overnight lane closures and traffic pattern changes during the week of March 1-7, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA).
All work is weather permitting and is part of ongoing preservation and maintenance efforts funded by toll dollars.

Officials are urging drivers to use caution, obey all traffic-control devices and lane-control signals, and remember that headlights are required at all times while crossing the bridge.
Westbound span closures
The westbound span may be fully closed:
During these closures, two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span.
Eastbound span closures
The eastbound span may be fully closed:
When the eastbound span is closed, two-way traffic will run on the westbound span.
Daytime lane closures
In addition to the overnight work, one lane on the eastbound span may be closed:
Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span during those daytime closures as well.
Officials noted that closure times may change depending on traffic volumes and other work variables.
