ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — A 34-year-old Pasadena resident has been charged with leaving a loaded firearm accessible to a minor after a student brought a handgun to Freetown Elementary School in Glen Burnie.
The incident occurred on Feb. 4 at approximately 8:25 a.m. when the gun discharged inside a classroom, injuring the seven-year-old student.
According to police, Eashan John Stefanski was served with a criminal summons on Feb. 5, after detectives determined the weapon was obtained from the child’s residence.

The teacher secured the weapon and provided aid to the injured student, who was then transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other students were harmed.
Authorities are continuing to investigate and are urging anyone with information to contact them.
