A Pasadena man was sentenced to decades behind bars for firing over 20 shots at a home in January 2025, the Office of the State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County announced Monday.

28-year-old Montrelle Musa was sentenced to 75 years with all but 25 years suspended to serve in the Division of Correction.

Musa must also serve 5 years of supervised probation upon release, according to Judge Pamela Alban.

Musa was found guilty of six counts of first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony crime of violence, firearm possession with a felony conviction, and firearms possession-related charges following a trial, December 12, 2025.

On Jan. 12, 2025, around 10:47 p.m., Anne Arundel County police responded to the 7800 block of Huff Court in Pasadena for a report of a shooting.

The home was occupied by five adults and a six-year-old child at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival, officers found numerous bullet holes in the wall directly above the sofa where an adult and the child were sitting.

Investigators believe over twenty bullets were fired at the home.

A day later, on Jan. 13, 2025, around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a car crash involving a stolen white 2017 Infinity Q60.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, at which time the driver fled, crashing into a construction vehicle.

The driver was taken into custody after a foot chase. The driver, later identified as Musa, was in possession of a Glock 19 handgun.

Investigators examined a test-fired cartridge from the Glock 19 handgun from Musa and compared it with fired cartridges removed from the shooting scene on Huff Court.

This examination ultimately connected Musa to the shooting.

Additionally, detectives reviewed camera footage from the Freetown community in Pasadena. The video identified the defendant’s stolen white Q60 entering and leaving the community during the timeframe of the shooting.

It is a miracle that no one sustained injuries in this reckless and dangerous act of violence. A six-year-old child was nearly hit when this Defendant sprayed bullets indiscriminately toward a home. Maryland Sentencing Guidelines called for a range between 12 to 95 years. The State asked for a 50-year active prison sentence to address this repeat offender’s propensity toward gun violence and his threat to the community’s public safety,” State’s Attorney Anne Colt Leitess commented, via press release. “After serving his initial 25-year sentence, he will have 50 years of backup time hanging over his head if he reoffends.

Now, Musa will serve prison time.
