Pedestrian hit on Baltimore National Pike dies days later, Baltimore County police say

A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Baltimore County, police announced on Wednesday.

On February 4, 48-year-old Jarrett Ayers was hit by a vehicle while on Baltimore National Pike near Ingleside Avenue.

Officials said he succumbed to his injuries on February 10.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver was traveling westbound on Baltimore National Pike when he struck Ayers, who was in the roadway at the time.

Police noted that the driver remained at the scene after the incident.
