Person detained after firearm found at Blake High School in Montgomery County

SILVER SPRING, Md. (7News) — A person was detained after Montgomery County police responded to Blake High School Wednesday morning for reports of a person with a firearm.

Police said officers were called at 11:29 a.m. to the school. The firearm was located, and the person was detained at the scene.

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) placed the school on hold status as authorities continue to investigate, officials said.

Officials have not reported any injuries.
