Police investigate early morning shooting in west Baltimore

Police investigated a shooting that injured at least one person in Baltimore’s Druid Heights neighborhood on Wednesday.

Officers were alerted to gunfire in the area around 2 a.m.

Investigators could be seen examining several cartridge casings scattered along the sidewalk in the 400 block of Presstman Street.

They looked at other evidence of the shooting, too.

The investigation into the shooting comes on the heels of a homicide investigation in the same neighborhood.

A 15-year-old girl was fatally shot in the 2100 block of Druid Hill Avenue on Sunday.

Officers were alerted to the deadly shooting around 2:10 a.m. that day.
