Police seek info on deadly hit-and-run in Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a fatal pedestrian incident in Glen Burnie that may have involved a hit-and-run.

According to police, officers responded July 1 at about 9:10 p.m. to the unit block of Cedar Drive for a report of a sick or injured person.

Police said a preliminary investigation found suspicious circumstances and indicated the person may have been hit by a vehicle that left the scene.

The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Because of the information gathered, the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team was requested and processed the scene.

The Crash Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation pending autopsy findings.
