(WBFF) — A Reisterstown man faces multiple charges stemming from a June road rage incident on I-695, Maryland State Police announced.
Jamar Brooks, 33, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence or a felony, and other related assault and firearm charges.

According to MSP, troopers responded to the inner loop of the Beltway near Washington Boulevard on June 16, 2025, for an alleged road rage incident.
The victim told police that a Tesla driver, later identified as Brooks, shot at them.
The victim’s vehicle showed evidence of a round having traveled through the driver-side door, through the victim’s seatbelt, and lodging in the driver’s seat.
The victim was unharmed in the incident.
Brooks was subsequently identified as the suspect, and was arrested on July 22.
A search warrant executed at Brooks’ residence ended with the seizure of a stolen, loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
