SUN: Baltimore County Police release IDs in Phoenix homicide

A 41-year-old man has been charged with fatally shooting his father-in-law, the Timonium personal injury attorney Robert MacMeekin.

Mark Ryan, 41, was charged Sunday with murder in connection with the slaying of the 74-year-old MacMeekin at the older man’s Phoenix home, the Baltimore County Police Department said Sunday.

The shooting was reported at 2:25 p.m. Saturday in the 14000 block of Sawmill Court; MacMeekin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ryan is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond, police said.

MacMeekin was a partner in the law firm of Fine, Kelly & MacMeekin, according to the practice’s website.

He graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in 1973 and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore Law School two years later.
