BALTIMORE — A Perry Hall High School gym teacher pleaded guilty Thursday to sex offenses that took place on school property after being arrested over the summer, according to Baltimore County prosecutors.
Sean Brooks pleaded guilty to six charges, including sexual abuse of a minor, fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault. The charges stem from three students who said they had been touched or harassed by Brooks, a physical education and health teacher.
Neither of Brooks’ listed attorneys immediately responded to requests for comment Friday.
In June 2025, the school district said Brooks was placed on administrative leave and barred from school property, per previous reporting. Baltimore County Public Schools declined to comment Friday. It was unclear if he was still employed by the district.
Though the maximum penalty for the charges Brooks pleaded guilty to is 57 years, the judge agreed to impose a mandatory minimum sentence of active incarceration of four years, according to an email forwarded by Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger from prosecutor John Magee.
