BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A man pleaded guilty Friday for his role in a mass shooting that targeted a group of teens at Edmondson Village Shopping Center in 2023, killing 16-year-old Deanta Dorsey.
Bryan Damari Johnson, 20, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and several firearm charges.
Prosecutors said Johnson, who was 16 at the time, and his cousin, Daaon Spears, targeted Dorsey outside a Popeyes on Jan. 4, 2023, when they opened fire into a crowd of students. Four other teenagers were struck but survived.
Spears was tried separately and acquitted of all charges in February.
