BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD (WBFF) — Sarah David’s decisive defeat of 20-year Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger in the June Democratic primary marked the end of an era in county law enforcement and put her on a path to become the county’s next top prosecutor.
David, 41, the second-in-command at the Maryland Office of the State Prosecutor, is the Democratic nominee and faces no opponent on the November ballot after no Republican filed for the office. If elected, she will take office in January. She is a Johns Hopkins University graduate and University of Maryland Carey School of Law alumna. With 60 lawyers, the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office is one of the largest in Maryland.
