BALTIMORE — Slutty Vegan, a plant-based restaurant, officially opened its new location Saturday at Cross Street Market in Federal Hill.
In accordance with the “slut” theme, the menu features fast-food-style vegan options with names such as the “One Night Stand” burger and the “Hollywood Hooker” cheesesteak, finished with “Slut Sauce.”
At the restaurant’s soft opening Friday night, staff members were teeming with excitement, screaming welcomes to everyone who walked in. It’s the latest expansion for the Black-owned franchise owned by Baltimore native Pinky Cole Hayes.
“We got a virgin!” the cashier will yell if a customer admits it’s their first time visiting. If it’s not a first-time visitor, they’ll yell, “We got a loyal slut in the house!”
