BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD (WBFF) — Mark Ryan, son-in-law of the slain Timonium lawyer Robert MacMeekin, was indicted on first-degree murder, burglary and home invasion charges Wednesday — bringing several new accusations to a case police say boiled over as MacMeekin tried protecting his grandchildren.
Court records show that a grand jury in Baltimore County issued 7 charges against Ryan this week, including two assault felonies, upping the initial pair filed by police after the fatal May 2 shooting.
Richard Karceski, Ryan’s defense lawyer who previously described the state’s case as having “very little meat on the bone,” did not immediately respond to a comment request Thursday morning.
Representatives for the MacMeekin family have declined opportunities to comment, asking for privacy.
