Suspected drug dealer from Maryland found passed out in running car in Virginia

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (7News) — A Maryland man was arrested after police say he was passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with large batches of cocaine, fentanyl, and cash.

Fredericksburg police said an officer found the man Aug. 28 and identified him as Michael Bohnes, 31, of White Plains, Md.

Another officer responded to help, and police said Bohnes showed signs of impairment and possible drug use.

A search of Bohnes and the car allegedly turned up large stashes of cocaine and fentanyl along with money, according to police.

A law enforcement phlebotomist later drew blood from Bohnes, authorities said.

Bohnes is facing charges of driving under the influence of drugs, two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of a weapon of terrorism involving fentanyl.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment before being released and booked at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Police said Bohnes is being held without bond.
