Temporary road closures announced across Baltimore for weekend events

Temporary road closures and traffic modifications will be implemented in Baltimore for weekend activities on Dec. 6 and 7, the Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) said.

All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates, the department noted.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the following lane and road closures will be implemented:

  • Hilton Parkway northbound and southbound right lane closures between North Ave. and Hilton St. 6:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. (cleaning)
  • Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 southbound right lane closures from the Druid Park Lake Drive/28th Street exit to Fayette St. 6:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. (cleaning)
  • Eutaw St. closure from W. Baltimore to W. Fayette Sts. 7:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • W. Baltimore St. lane closures between Arch and Greene Sts. 5:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. (crane operation)
  • N. Howard St. northbound lane closure between W. Preston St. and Dolphin St. 9:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. (repair work)
  • Cathedral St. southbound lane closure between Mount Royal Ave. and W. Preston St. 9:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. (repair work)

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers’ Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga St. between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, Dec. 7, the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Holliday St. closure from E. Pleasant St. to E. Saratoga St.
  • Pleasant St. closure at Holliday St.
  • Hillen St. center lane closures between Front St. and Fallsway Rd

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium starting at 1:00 p.m.

In preparation for the event, the following road and lane closures will be implemented on Sunday, Dec. 7, starting at approximately 10:00 a.m.:

  • The northbound Russell Street Service Drive alongside M&T Bank Stadium will be closed between West and Hamburg Streets prior to and during the game.
  • The Hamburg Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Leaden Hall and Paca Streets for game ingress. Once the game begins, the closures will be removed until the start of the fourth quarter for egress.
  • The Ostend Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Sharp and Warner Streets for game ingress. Once the game begins, the closures will be removed until the start of the fourth quarter for egress.
  • A special traffic pattern will be temporarily installed along Warner Street between the Ostend Street Bridge and Stockholm Street for ingress and railroad crossings.
  • Special traffic patterns will be installed along Warner Street, Alluvion Street, Worcester Street, and Bayard Street for egress at the start of the fourth quarter.
  • Hamburg Street closure between Hanover and Charles Streets for egress at the start of the fourth quarter.
  • No southbound travel will be permitted along Hanover Street between Henrietta and Hamburg Streets at the start of the fourth quarter. All traffic will be diverted onto Henrietta Street for east or westbound travel.

Special traffic pattern along Warner Street: Due to construction, Warner Street is closed between Worcester and W. Ostend Streets. To assist with gameday traffic, a special traffic pattern will be implemented along Warner Street for fans entering and leaving the stadium.

On gamedays, a one-way ingress (northbound) and egress (southbound) lane will be implemented on Warner Street, along with a pedestrian walkway.
