Three firefighters injured during rescues at apartment fire in Woodlawn

WOODLAWN, MD (WBFF) — Three firefighters were injured while rescuing multiple people during an apartment fire in Woodlawn on Monday.

According to the Baltimore County Fire Department, crews responded to a fire at an apartment in the 6300 block of Monica Place in Woodlawn on Feb. 16.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a second-floor kitchen on fire with multiple people trapped.

During the rescue of those trapped people, three firefighters were injured and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
