Vandal caught on camera smashing windows at Maryland daycare with kids inside

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) are asking for the public’s help identifying someone accused of damaging windows at a home operating as a daycare while children were inside.

The incident occurred Tuesday, Jan. 20, around 12:39 p.m. in the 14000 block of London Lane in Rockville, Maryland, according to police.

Investigators say an unknown man shattered multiple windows at the residence while the daycare was in operation. No children were hurt during the incident.

Police said the perpetrator cut his right hand before running away from the scene.

The person is described as a man aged 15 to 20 years. His race is unknown. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue surgical mask, a black beanie, black glasses, and a black hoodie with a Spider-Man logo.

Detectives said they reviewed Ring camera footage from the home and were able to get photos and a description of the suspect. The case is being handled by the 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit.
