
HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A high-speed pursuit that began in Virginia ended with the arrest of a Howard County woman after she allegedly rammed a Virginia State Police vehicle and led authorities on a chase through multiple counties.
The chase began just before midnight on Monday evening, when a Virginia State Trooper attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in Alexandria. The driver, identified as Naturi Michon Hayes, 24, of Elkridge, Md., refused to stop.

The officer followed her onto Route 1 southbound and then onto Interstate 495 eastbound. During the pursuit, Hayes allegedly rammed the trooper’s vehicle, causing it to crash into a guardrail near Exit 3A on Interstate 495. The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital before being released earlier this morning.

The chase continued into Maryland, where Maryland State Police and U.S. Park Police took over. Maryland State Police Aviation Command was following along to track her car.
Hayes was eventually apprehended after crashing in Howard County near Washington Blvd. and Meadowridge Rd. She attempted to flee on foot, but was caught and arrested.
Hayes faces multiple charges, including first-degree assault, attempting to elude police, failure to stop after an accident, and aggressive and reckless driving. She was taken to a local hospital before being transported to the Prince George’s Department of Corrections, where she awaits a court appearance.
