Mellace Family Brands California, Inc. has issued a recall for two Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts unsalted products that may be contaminated with Salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Friday.

The recall affects:

  • Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted – 34 oz. – Packaged in plastic tub – UPC 077890421314 – Lot code: 58041 – Best by: July 28, 2026
  • Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted – 11.5 oz – Packaged in plastic bag – UPC 077890421352 – Lot code: 58171 – Best by: Aug. 10, 2026

The affected nuts were sold between Nov. 3 and Dec. 1, 2025, at Wegmans locations in:

  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • North Carolina
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Pennsylvania
  • Virginia
  • Washington, D.C.

No illnesses have been reported so far. According to the company, routine supplier testing found Salmonella in a lot of raw pistachios used to make the mixed nuts. Because Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections, especially in children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems, the recall was initiated out of caution.

Symptoms may include:

  • Fever
  • Diarrhea (sometimes bloody)
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal pain

More severe complications are possible if the infection spreads to the bloodstream. Anyone who bought the recalled nuts should stop using them immediately and return them to Wegmans for a full refund.
