West Baltimore shooting leaves one hospitalized, police say

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Detectives are investigating a shooting in west Baltimore that left one person hospitalized, officials said.

Police responded to the 1600 block of Laurens Street around 10:27 p.m. on Sept. 3, following a ShotSpotter alert about possible gunfire.

Once on the scene, police said they found evidence that a shooting had happened, but no victim was at the scene.

Then, on Sept. 4 at around 1:20 p.m., detectives found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1600 block of North Smallwood Street.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
