What to know as Ravens host Bengals with Lamar Jackson out

The Baltimore Ravens will be without quarterback Lamar Jackson for a third straight game when they host the Cincinnati Bengals in a pivotal AFC North matchup Sunday.

Jackson remains sidelined with an ankle injury after limited practice work this week. Tyler Huntley is set to make his third consecutive start as Baltimore looks to bounce back from last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Here’s what to know before kickoff:

Lamar Jackson remains out

Jackson has not played since injuring his ankle during Baltimore’s win over the Tennessee Titans three weeks ago. The Ravens went 1-1 in his first two absences, defeating the Atlanta Falcons before falling to the Browns.

Huntley will again lead Baltimore’s offense against Cincinnati.

AFC North stakes

The Bengals enter Sunday at 3-2 following their bye week, while the rest of the AFC North is 4-2. Cincinnati is looking to avoid an 0-2 start in division play, making Sunday’s matchup an early test in a crowded division race.

Ravens lose Tavius Robinson for the season

Baltimore’s defense will be without linebacker Tavius Robinson, who head coach Jesse Minter announced will miss the rest of the season.

Robinson started all six games for the Ravens this year and recorded 18 combined tackles and 3.5 sacks. The team has not disclosed the nature of his injury.

Familiar face faces former team

Ravens defensive end Trey Hendrickson will face the Bengals for the first time since leaving Cincinnati in the offseason. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said Hendrickson remains difficult to contain and noted the need to account for his pass-rushing ability.

Burrow, Bengals receivers present major test

Baltimore’s secondary will face Burrow and a Bengals passing attack led by Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey called the matchup an “all hands-on deck” challenge, while the Ravens hope their playmakers — including Kyle Hamilton and Roquan Smith — can generate takeaways.
