
BETHESDA, Md. (7News) — A 16-year-old Whitman High School student was arrested for bringing a loaded handgun to school Wednesday, the Montgomery County Police Department.
According to MCPD, officers were sent to the Westfield Montgomery Mall for reports of a fight between two groups of teenagers from two different schools.

During the brawl, a teen identified by police as Bethesda resident Andre Wilson pulled a gun on the group.
During the investigation officials were able to identify Wilson as a student at Walt Whitman.
Police say school officials were contacted and Wilson was pulled out of a classroom.
After a search of the teen’s backpack, police say they found a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun with a scratched-off serial number and a magazine.

Wilson was arrested and charged as an adult with multiple offenses, including possessing a dangerous weapon on school property and underage firearm possession.
