Investigators have filed additional charges against the woman charged in connection to the beating of a Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT) employee, according to the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City.

Last week, Kiannah Bonaparte rejected the state’s plea offer in connection to the death of DOT worker Gregory Turnipseed.

Back in November of 2025, investigators said Bonaparte and her 15-year-old passenger assaulted Turnipseed while he was on the job after he asked them to move their vehicle.

Nearly six weeks after the attack, the 71-year-old died.

Bonaparte was initially charged with first- and second-degree assault.

The 49-year-old is now charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.

The defendant was re-arraigned and had a bond hearing Thursday afternoon, according to online court records.

Investigators haven’t said whether any charges will be filed against the juvenile in this case.
