MALDEN, Mass. (TNND) — A Massachusetts man wanted on human trafficking and kidnapping charges has been arrested after prosecutors said a woman was held for six weeks in an unfinished attic until the property owner found her and called police.
Jordende Pierre, 29, faces charges including trafficking a person for sexual servitude, kidnapping, and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, according to U.S. Marshals.
Malden police said officers responded to the home Sept. 20 after receiving a call from the landlord. Investigators found a woman who prosecutors say had been held against her will and sexually abused for six weeks.
‘The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing. No person should ever be subjected to the violence, exploitation, and loss of freedom alleged here,’ Dennis Matulewicz, head of the U.S. Marshals Service for the District of Massachusetts, said.

Prosecutors said the woman was found naked and malnourished on a mat in the attic of a multifamily home, according to NBC News.
‘She clearly had not eaten. She was dirty. She was living, essentially, in squalor in this attic area,’ Middlesex County Assistant District Attorney Jacob McCrindle said in court.
Authorities also found a 5-gallon bucket containing urine near the woman.
Pierre met the woman through a dating app and brought her to the home, prosecutors said. They alleged she struggled with substance abuse and was given drugs.
McCrindle said Pierre arranged for the woman to have sexual encounters with other men who came to the home. ‘The defendant would arrange for those dates,’ he said.
Prosecutors also alleged Pierre kept the woman from leaving by removing the door handle.
The property owner told NBC Boston that she and her husband went to the home because of a water leak. After being turned away from certain rooms, they found the woman and another man in the attic and called 911.
