CANTON (WBFF) — The sounds of summer return June 4 when indie music band Fantastic Cat headlines WTMD’s popular First Thursdays Concert Series at Canton’s Waterfront Park.
The free outdoor festival brings thousands of music fans together monthly to dance, soak in the music and nosh down treats from nearly three dozen food vendors.
While the full concert schedule isn’t yet available, the June 4 lineup will also feature the Mississippi-based alt-folk band Happy Landing and the art-rock Baltimore band Seven Teller, according to a news release.
The concert series originated with Baltimore City Paper but has been operated by WTMD (89.7 FM), the Towson-based public radio station, since 2005. By 2014, the series, which on some nights attracts nearly 15,000 people, had outgrown its original Mount Vernon location and moved to Canton.
