SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WKRC) – A ten-year-old girl, on her way to school with her parents, was critically injured by what San Antonio Police say was a road rage shooting Friday morning.

Police say Bryan Arceo backed out of a driveway aggressively. That’s when Alisa Gates’ mother honked her horn, father Jason Gates told KSAT. “My wife was on the horn, but she was on the horn no more than three seconds.”

In response, police say Arceo fired a shot at the family’s minivan, hitting Alisa who was in the back seat.

She was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, according to Gates. Her parents weren’t hurt.

Police tracked Arceo down and arrested him. He’s charged with aggravated assault and endangering a child.
