2 girls kidnapped from Tennessee found safe on PA interstate: troopers

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Troopers made two arrests after they pulled over a vehicle on I-81 to find two girls who’d been kidnapped from Tennessee.

State police were alerted just before midnight Sunday about the kidnapping, according to a press release issued Monday morning.

Troopers located the involved vehicle, a 2025 Gray Nissan Rogue, in the area of 440 I-81 north in South Middletown Township.

State police said both girls were found safely inside the vehicle.

Two adults, Henry Rodriguez, 36, of Allentown, and Ana Rodriguez Gonzalez, 60, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, were taken into custody.

Troopers said both arrestees were taken to Cumberland County Prison as they await extrication back to Tennessee. It’s unclear at this time what charges they will face.

Troopers did not specify the relationship between the girls and those arrested.
