“All three were arrested overnight in Blackpool on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender as our investigation continues,” police said in a news release.

Police said officers were called to Cash’s Park on Friday around 5 p.m. after someone contacted them and said they discovered the a body inside a green bin.

“We are keeping an open mind, but we believe that this man has been hit by a vehicle, and then has been moved to the park,” Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole said in a previous release.

The remains are believed to be a man in his 40s or 50s, though police said authorities are still working to confirm the man’s identity.

Authorities said the man has a tattoo of a cross with a snake wrapped around it on his back and the words “Little Stardust.” He also has another tattoo on his right arm that says “nan” with a clover and the colors of the Irish flag, according to police.

“We have a large team of detectives, forensic specialists and other staff working around the clock to establish what has happened to this man, who he is, and who is responsible,” Poole said.

As detectives from the force’s Major Crime Unit lead the investigation, Poole asked anyone who has information about the case to contact him as soon as possible.

“I urgently want to hear from anyone who believes they may have hit someone in their car yesterday, or who has noticed a change in behaviour from someone they know who drives, or who has noticed damage to a vehicle,” Poole said. “It’s vital that we trace that person as quickly as possible so that we can get their account of what happened. If anyone in the area has found that their wheelie bin with a green lid has been stolen, I also want to hear from them.”
