WASHINGTON (TNND) — Millions tuned in to Turning Point USA’s ‘All-American’ Super Bowl instead of Bad Bunny’s show on Sunday night. The NFL’s decision to choose the Puerto Rican rapper for the big event in San Francisco.
Those who chose to switch Bad Bunny out watched the alternative halftime show headlined by Kid Rock and featured Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.
The show was initially set to be broadcast on X, but was pulled minutes before it was due to start.
In a statement, Turning Point USA said: ‘UPDATE: Due to licensing restrictions, we are unable to stream The All-American Halftime Show on X. Head on over to our YouTube channel tonight around 8PM ET to watch the full show.’
According to the Turning Point USA’s YouTube stream, 9.9 million streamed the show.
The alternative halftime show started with the host claiming ‘this one’s for you Charlie’, honoring Turning Point USA’s late founder Charlie Kirk.
