Another Prominent Socialist Refuses to Endorse Francesca Hong

The other day, we told you how Bernie Sanders, the grandfather of American socialism, refused to endorse Francesca Hong, the Democratic socialist running for Wisconsin Governor. Sanders said he preferred to focus on national-level races to regain control of the House and Senate, but he also endorsed Troy Jackson for Maine governor before Jackson got trounced in the primary.

Whoops.

Now Sanders’ “Fight the Oligarchy” travel companion, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is refusing to endorse Hong, too.

Here’s more:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Sunday declined to endorse Francesca Hong, a democratic socialist vying for the party nomination in the Wisconsin governor’s race.

“I haven’t endorsed in that race. My focus has been in winning back the Congress, winning back the House and positioning ourselves to have the best chance possible to win the Senate,” Ocasio-Cortez said during an appearance on ABC News’s “This Week.”

Her decision falls in line with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and the national branch of the Democratic Socialists of America, which have both declined to endorse Hong.

This has to sting for Hong.

Democrats have long acted as if they knew Hong wouldn’t win the general election, but we have to ponder another possibility: maybe they’re terrified she will. And when she drives Wisconsin into the ground by abolishing the police, making taxes skyrocket, and enacting her socialist agenda, they may know that’ll destroy them more than losing the upcoming Governor’s race.

Except Sanders endorsed Jackson, so that’s a lie.

She is literally crazy. That’s not us saying it; Hong admitted to being bipolar and that she was institutionalized for her mental health issues in a published interview.

It doesn’t. That’s just an excuse.

It’s not a coincidence.

They will not take this hint. Polls show Hong with a tremendous lead over Crowley, who was doing so poorly that he dropped out of the race and endorsed sitting Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez. Then Rodriguez’s campaign imploded and Democrats begged Crowley to get back into a race he knew he was losing at the beginning of July.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
