Big bruise spotted on Trump’s hand during World Economic Forum

President Donald Trump sported a bruise on the back of his left hand during a signing ceremony for the “Board of Peace” at the World Economic Forum on Thursday.

Photos show the purple-colored blemish as he spoke throughout the event, which was held in Davos, Switzerland.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Trump bruised his hand after he hit it on the corner of the signing table during the event.

Images of Trump’s bruise circulated on social media, with some questioning his health.

It’s not the first time 79-year-old president has been spotted with a bruise on his hand.

In February 2025, Trump’s bruise made headlines during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House. It appeared makeup was used to cover up the blemish.

At the time, Leavitt said the bruising on the back of his hand was consistent with “minor soft tissue irritation” caused by frequent handshaking, as well as side effects from his use of aspirin. She said he takes the aspirin as part of “a standard cardiovascular prevention regiment.”

“This is a well-known and benign side-effect of aspirin therapy,” Leavitt previously said.

“His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day,” she added.

In October, Trump’s doctor said the president “remains in exceptional health” following a “comprehensive” follow-up evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The visit was part of his ongoing health maintenance plan and included advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventative health assessments conducted by a multidisciplinary team of specialists,” U.S. Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella wrote.
