Candace Owens shares video of former TPUSA employee speaking out about organization

WASHINGTON (TNND) — Podcaster Candace Owens on Thursday shared a video of a former Turning Point USA employee who claims they were terminated for being critical of Erika Kirk.

“One of the fired employees from Turning Point USA speaks out about the organization’s new direction!” Owens wrote on X.

In a 12-minute video on X, Laitsch said she was terminated roughly three weeks ago. She said that an executive at Turning Point USA had a conversation with an uber driver who told him that his daughter was friends with an employee who said the organization was going downhill and that nobody liked Erika Kirk, the new CEO.

Erika was made CEO after her husband Charlie Kirk was assassinated Sep. 10 at Utah Valley University.

Laitsch said the uber driver told the CEO that the employee who was friends with his daughter was her, which Laitsch denied.

“I was just a little taken aback because number one, I’m not really friends with anybody from high school, and I lot of that has to do with my political beliefs,” Laitsch said.

She said that story doesn’t line up with her thoughts about Erika Kirk at the time and went on to say that they did pageants at the same time and she has known her since 2013.

Laitsch said that while Turning Point USA didn’t imply this was a reason she was let go, she said she feels she was let go because she is questioning the narrative about what happened to Kirk when he was assassinated.

“I just have a gut feeling that I was terminated from Turning Point because I am questioning the narrative of what happened to my role model and CEO, Charlie Kirk on the day of his assassination,” Laitsch said.

“What is being told to us in the mainstream media really doesn’t add up to me.”

Owens has said on her show multiple times that she doesn’t believe the narrative that Charlie Kirk was killed by Tyler Robinson, 22. Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated murder.

In previous episodes of her show, Owens has said she thinks Robinson wasn’t the killer, but he may have been involved. She said she speculates Kirk was taken down in a military operation, implied Israel could have been behind his death and said he was betrayed by people close to him.

Turning Point USA has not responded to requests for comment at this time.
