A childcare center that was named in the recent alleged Minnesota fraud scheme was raided by the FBI in 2015 for allegedly defrauding a state program.

Last week it was reported that millions of taxpayer dollars were funding daycare centers in Minnesota that appeared vacant.

Independent reporter Nick Shirley released a video that showed him going to the Quality Learning Center in Minneapolis on a weekday, noting that there were no children. The word “Learning” was misspelled as “Learing.”

The Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday that it would be conducting a mass operation to identify and arrest criminals in Minnesota.

“MORE IN MINNEAPOLIS,” the DHS wrote on X.

“Our investigative agents are conducting a massive operation to identify, arrest, and remove criminals who are defrauding the American people. We will root out this rampant fraud plaguing Minnesota.”

According to a 2015 report from Bring Me The News, which is a local Minnesota news outlet, the Quality Learning Center was raided in 2015 after being accused of defrauding a state program that served lower-income families.

However, in 2015, the Quality Learning Center was called the Salama Child Care Center, located at .

The Minnesota Department for Human Services and the FBI searched the childcare center in May of 2015 and action was taken to revoke the child care license of the owner due to alleged safety violations.

The FBI reportedly conducted over a year of surveillance of the center and alleged that the center was billing the state-funded child assistance program for more children than were actually at the center, according to the Star Tribune.
